Choy Chun Wei (b. 1973) has made a name for himself with his unmistakable collage works. Since graduating from Central St. Martin's School of Art, London, with a degree in Graphic Design, Choy's artistic career has progressed through a number of solo and group exhibitions. In 2003, he was awarded an Honourable Mention in the Philip Morris Art Awards. He was also the Rimbun Dahan Artist in Residence in 2005. Most recently, he was selected for the Asian Artist Fellowship Grant and Residency bestowed by the Freeman Foundation, Vermot, USA in 2008.


Gan Siong King (b. 1975) wears many hats as artist, production designer for feature films and arts worker in numerous community based projects. Gan received his Diploma in Fine arts majoring in oil painting from the Malaysia Institute of Art in 1996. He was also the artist assistant to Wong Hoy Cheong from 1996 - 1999. Gan has taken part in several exhibitions including 'Sama-sama' 2007 at Lost Generation Space, 'Seriously Beautiful' at Reka Art Space, 'Seni: Homefronts' at Singapore Arts Museum 2004, and '3 Young Contemporaries' at VWFA Gallery in 2001. As a production designer, Gan's credits include Liew Seng Tat's 'Flower In The Pocket' which has recently won the PRO Tiger Award at the 2008 Rotterdam Film Festival, Fahmi Reza's 'Sepuluh Tahun Sebelum Merdeka'  and Tsai Ming Liang's 'I Don't Want to Sleep Alone'.


Hamir Soib (b. 1969) is the founder of the artist studio Gudang. He is also a founding member for the influential artist collective Matahati, established in 1989. He graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from the Mara Institute of Technology, Malaysia in 1991 with a major in printmaking. Hamir went on to participate in numerous exhibitions both individually and as part of Matahati collective. Most recently, he was a finalist in the 2007 Sovereign Asian Art Prize, Hong Kong. Hamir has actively promoted artistic exchange with his Gudang Artist Residency program. 2008 also saw the celebratory retrospective of the Matahati collective, presented by Galeri petronas and the launch of an extensive catalogue 'Matahati'. His paintings have been acquired by all major public and private collections in Malaysia, including the National Art Gallery, Bank Negara Malaysia, MARA University of Technology, as well as the private collections of Farouk and Alia Khan, Pakharuddin Sulaiman and Dr. Steve Wong.


Khairul Azmir Shoib (b. 1975) holds a Master of Fine Art from University of Technology MARA, Shah Alam. He has since participated actively in the Rimbun Dahan's Art for Nature. He won the Juror Award in the Young Contemporary Award 2004, National Art Gallery, Malaysia. More recently, he held his first solo exhibition 'Fairieality' at Galeri Seni Maya in 2006. 


Liew Kwai Fei (b. 1979) majored in Ink Painting at the Malaysia Art Institute. Since graduation, he has participated in a number of group exhibitions such as '3 Instalasi + 3@RAP' A Preview of Installation Art and Drawings at Rumah Air Panas, Kuala Lumpur (2003), YOUQING - A Showcase of Ink Painting and Drawing at Rumah Air Panas, Kuala Lumpur (2004), and Dream, Delirium + Face at Reka Art Space, Kuala Lumpur (2005). In 2003, Kwai Fei held his first solo exhibition titled 'Fei' at Rumah Air Panas, Kuala Lumpur which travelled to Le Bois Creation, Melaka. His second solo exhibition 'The Rhythm of Doing' was held at VWFA Project Room, KL in 2008. He also participated in the VASL International Artist Residency in Karachi, Pakistan in 2003. 


Phuan Thai Meng (b.1974) is a full time artist, arts educator and founding member of the artist collective Rumah Air Panas (RAP). He received his Diploma in Fine Art majoring in painting from the Malaysia Institute of Art in 1996. Thai Meng has been exhibiting regularly since 1995. His most recent exhibitions/projects include: Production Manager for KPS (Koletif Pembangun Seni - Collective Art Developer) 'Let Arts Move You' project with KTM commuter trains, 'Mind, Body & Soul 2006' at Wei-Ling Gallery, 'Crowds' at Reka Art Space in 2005 and '3 Young Contemporaries 2004' at VWFA Gallery. Thai Meng was a finalist in the 2006 Sovereign Asian Art Prize, Hong Kong, and won an Honourable Mention Award in 2003 as well as the Juror's Choice Award in 2000  from the Philip Morris Malaysia - Asean Art Awards.


Saiful Razman (b.1980) graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from University of Technology MARA, Shah Alam, and made in debut in the local art scene in 2003. He has since participated in various exhibitions in Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia. Featured in Valentine Willie Fine Art's Three Young Contemporaries in 2004, he was also award the Rimbun Dahan Artist in Residence programme in 2004. He was also actively involved in the Notthatbalai fringe arts festival. In 2008, he held his first solo exhibition 'Pelan-pelan dan Bilik Gerakan' at the Annexe Gallery, Kuala Lumpur.


Yau Bee Ling (b. 1972) studied painting at the Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA). Since graduation, she has exhibited her works widely both locally and abroad. Her works were included in the 2nd Fukuoka Triennale. In 2004, her paintings travelled to the Kokkaido Museum fo COntemporary Art as part of the "Soul of Asia: Fukuoka Asian Art Museum Collection" exhibition. She was awarded the Rimbun Dahan Artist Residency in 2005. Her works have been collected by the Fukuoka Asian Art Musum, Japan and Galeri Petronas, Malaysia.
