Valentine Willie, Founder & Chairman, completed his Masters in Law from University College, London University in 1977 and was in the same year called to the Bar of England & Wales. He practiced law for 20 years in Sabah, Malaysia, becoming the managing partner of the largest legal firm in Sabah and was for two terms President of the Sabah Law Association.

His interest in the visual arts started during his student days in England and for the past 30 years he has been collecting art, in particular, contemporary Southeast Asian art. He retired from his legal practice in 1996 and established Valentine Willie Fine Art.

He is also a curator, working both for gallery and independent projects, and has been responsible for several major exhibitions on regional art at the National Art Gallery and Galeri Petronas Gallery in Kuala Lumpur, and a landmark survey of contemporary Filipino art entitled Faith + The City, touring regional capitals. From October to December 2003, he was the Exhibitions Director for the opening festival of the Esplanade, Singapore, and a curator for Imagining Prometheus for the Salon di Mobile in Milan earlier that year. Most recently in 2005, he curated and organised Botero in Singapore and Sophia Vari in Kuala Lumpur, a major first for both these international artists in Southeast Asia, and he now represents Botero in the region.

Snow Ng, Manager, graduated with a BA in Art and Design from the Curtin University of Technology in 2004. She started her career in the advertising industry before returning to lecture in graphic design and advertising at LimKokWing University of Creative Technology. She joined Valentine Willie Fine Art (VWFA) in 2007 after deciding to pursue a career in art management.

Liza Ho, Regional Projects Manager, graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Finance and Commerce (Accounting) from Macquarie University, Sydney. She was previously working as an executive secretary and translator at the Mexico Embassy in Malaysia while volunteering at Valentine Wilie Fine Art. In 2009, she joins the KL team as a permanent staff, overseeing regional projects. A Guatemalan national, she is also the only staff member who speaks fluent Spanish.
